Splendors of China’s Forbidden City:
The Glorious Reign of Emperor Qianlong
Identity and graphics for The Field Museum

An 11,000 square foot exhibition about the reign of Qianlong, the last of the great Chinese emperors, featuring many objects never seen outside the Forbidden City in Beijing.

I was responsible for all graphics throughout the exhibit: labels, large overhanging text panels, and illustrations.

I designed the identity mark to have the look of the Chinese chop (a signature stamp), a style which was continued throughout the exhibit as a headline treatment.
